Hi, I’m Miranda! I’m a WGA television writer, and director.
I recently wrote and directed the series Alliance, which is now available on Amazon Prime! I'm thrilled to continue to write and develop more projects for TV.
TV writing is my passion so I was thrilled to sell and develop a comedy pilot for The Disney Channel, and wrote on their hit show, “Bizaardvark".
The digital content I’ve written for and directed has been featured on PopSugar, Seventeen Magazine, and ABC. I also wrote and starred in an Off-Off-Broadway show The Only Living Ghost (about my husband's gender transition and childhood loss) with producers Ruth and Stephen Hendel (Fela! American Idiot, Death of A Salesman). I wrote a book published by Chronicle Books called “How To Get Out Of The Friend Zone".
I love writing and directing anything lgbtqi+, dramedy, kids, comedy, teen, and family. My influences include Greta Gerwig, Richard Linklater, Judd Apatow, and Nora Ephron.
I'm married to trans actor/musician Alex Blue Davis (Grey's Anatomy) and am the mother of three daughters whom we adopted through foster care. Both events have changed me forever. My writing now reflects my journey to motherhood including transracial parenting, transgender discrimination, foster care, and all the things that don't sound funny but can be!
